Audit. It is again time for an audit of all of the church financial records, so if you have an account for the church, please bring it to the office no later than the 5th of Feb. The audit comm. Will meet on Feb. 21st at 7:00pm to examine the books of the church. Please make sure that all accounts are in the office so that we can complete the process this evening.
Public Meeting. There will be a public meeting at the United HS about the drugs abuse that is taking place in our region. There will be people from many departments to share about the problem and the public is welcome. The meeting will be Wednesday, February 22, at 6:00pm.
Pastor Tom will be on vacation from March 1st—5th. Matthew Geppert will be here to speak.
Ash Wednesday service will be a quite, self meditative service where you may come before the Lord at Blacklick Comm. UMC during the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm. You are invited to come and read scripture, read mediations, pray to the Lord and asked for forgiveness and mercy, as well as have an opportunity to share in the ashed and also Holy Communion. In this way, you may fit a time in your schedule to honor and pray to the Lord as we begin the Lenten Season together.
Spaghetti Dinner. There will be a spaghetti dinner on Sat. March 18th from 5:00—7:00pm in the church fellowship hall. The cost will be $10 for adults, children 12 to 5 $5 and children 4 and under are free. Take out will be available. There will be sign up sheets for all who plan to attend. Proceeds will benefit Lee Glessner’s upcoming mission trip to Madagascar. Thank you for your support.
The Food Bank during the month of Feb. is Cake Mix. Roger Brehm is the contact person. If you prefer to pay by check, make it payable to United Food Pantry. Continue to bring in your paper grocery bags. Please no plastic bags.
Douglas Bracken Scholarship Fund. Applications for this fund are now available for those studying in the Christian Vocational area. They are to be completed and returned to the Pastor by May 15, 2017. Any member of Blacklick Comm. UMC that is studying for an occupation in Christian service may apply.
